Going for the Goals Week 5!

Happy Monday to ya!  I hope your week has started off on a good note.  Do you consider Sunday or Monday to be the start of a new week?  I've always considered Monday to be the kick off to the new week, but I often wonder how things would be different if I chose Sunday.  Something to ponder...

Anyway, I'm still fighting this annoying summer cold.  I thought yesterday that it was completely gone, but lo and behold I had a scratchy throat and leaky pipe (runny nose) all day today!  I guess it's back to the Alka Seltzer Plus I go.  Ugh.  I'm really hoping it's out of my system by this weekend at the latest.

I had a really good weekend except for the fact that I did not feel 100%.  Friday night was spent having dinner with new friends at our favorite local Italian restaurant, Daniel's.  The friends we treated to dinner had never been there before, so it was fun to let them in on one of our favorites.  Afterwards, we played some Rummikub and then called it an early night.

Saturday we had a house showing in the morning (we haven't heard any feedback yet).  Nick and I decided to go grab breakfast and then hang out at Barnes and Noble until we could head back home.  Then I made us panini's for lunch and took a short nap before church.  I'm really enjoying the sermon series at our church and I'm grateful that we've been able to go these last two weeks.

Yesterday I met up with a friend for breakfast and then we went to Barnes and Noble to work on our Smash Books.  I could pretty much spend days at Barnes and Noble and not get bored!  Sunday afternoon we went with friends to see a movie during which I proceeded to struggle to stay awake..oops.  Then last night was spent relaxing and stressing.  For some reason I was in a funk last night...tired, frustrated and stressed.  I've been having some diet issues that I think is leading to sluggishness and stomach problems.  I've been stressed with having our house on the market and just some little things that I want/need to get done, but haven't made time for.  I've been wanting to check out a local gym, but with being sick I didn't want to overdo it.  It's a new week though, and I have hope that it will be a great one!

It's been a few weeks since I've been able to post my Monday, "Going for the Goals," list.  I decided it's time to get back on track with goals!  If you don't recall, I started "Going for the Goals" by joining up over a month ago on Jenny's blog.  Basically, I list goals for the week, month and the remainder of the year.  So here we go:

Goals for the Week of July 23rd through July 29th
-make a food log of what I eat to track any issues
-cook dinner at least 3 nights at home this week
-launch my Etsy shop! ( I can't wait to share it with you all..it's almost ready!!)

Well friends, that's it for today.  I'm off to finish up some laundry and find something for this scratchy throat of mine.  Wishing you all a wonderful week!
“Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.”  Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Love)
